1. Governance Structure
Sajilan Intelligence (hereinafter "The Processor") operates under the strict regulatory framework of the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of the Republic of Ghana. We recognize the authority of the Data Protection Commission (DPC) and maintain full compliance with all statutory requirements regarding the handling of personal data.
2. The Controller-Processor Relationship
In the context of our service:
- The School acts as the Data Controller. You retain full ownership and legal authority over your students' data.
- Sajilan acts as the Data Processor. We process this data solely on your documented instructions to generate academic insights. We claim no ownership over student records.
3. Data Collection Mandate
We strictly limit data collection to the minimum necessary for the "Academic Prediction Model":
Permitted Data:
- Student ID
- Attendance Logs
- Assessment Scores
- Term Grades
Prohibited Data:
We do not knowingly collect biometric data, health records, or parent financial details unless explicitly authorized for a specific module.
4. Data Subject Rights
In accordance with Act 843, all students and parents (Data Subjects) retain the right to:
- Request access to their data processed by Sajilan.
- Request correction of inaccurate risk assessments.
- Request deletion of data upon leaving the institution ("The Right to be Forgotten").
